my thoughts: on intimacy...

The root of intimacy is time. That’s why you could be doing the most non-romantic thing with your strictly platonic friend, and then somehow you end up falling in love with them, and then you wonder why. YO, because you spent TIME with the person and intimacy is a byproduct of time. 

You don’t get intimate with the Lord simply through reading great chicken soup devotionals and thought provoking sermons about him. A huge part of it happens when you simply come to him and say, “Jesus, I don’t really want anything, I just want to spend time with you. Abba I want YOU! DADDY!”
